The guidelines for using Kerjamail service

#1. Adding the first domain and Domain Verification

After the payment successful and the product that you buy has been activated, the first step you have to do is to add the first domain into your Kerjamail product and verified it.

Follow these steps below :

  1. Login to member.kirim.email then click “Add Domain” button into your Kerjamail product.
  2. Insert your domain name then select the capacity of Mega Byte (MB) in the Storage Size fields. After that, Click “Submit” button.
  3. Click “OK” button on “success!” notification.
  4. Click “COPY” button on Verify domain ownership page to copy the verification code.
  5. Open your DNS Manager, add new record by TXT type and paste the verification code that you have been copied on value section and then Save.
  6. Return to “Kerjamail” page and Click “Verify button”.
  7. Click “OK” button on the “Are You Sure?” notification.
  8. Click “OK” button on the “domain verification success” notification.
  9. Click any section and reload the page.
  10. Now your first domain is Active.

#2. Domain Setup

The next step after domain verification is domain setup. To do the domain setup, please follow the instruction below:

  1. Click your domain that has been verified.
  2. Click the “Domain Setup” menu in Manage Data page.

There are 5 records that you need to add to the DNS Manager. For the details, please do the following instructions.

2.1. MX Record

  1. Click the “MX Record” section.
  2. Follow the instruction provided.
  3. Click the “MX Lookup” button.

    If your status column remind mark with across within 1×24 hours, please open https://mxtoolbox.com/ , insert your domain on the “Domain Name” section then Click “MX Lookup” button.

If you see the image below, it means your MX Record has been added successfully.

2.2. CNAME Record 1 and 2

  1. Click “CNAME Record 1”.
  2. Follow the instruction.
  3. Continue to “CNAME Record 2”.

2.3. SPF Record

  1. Click “SPF/TXT Record”.
  2. Follow the instruction.
  3. Continue to DKIM Record.

2.4. DKIM Record

  1. Click “DKIM/TXT Record”.
  2. Follow the provided instruction.
  3. Done.

#3. Managing the mailbox Users

After you succeeded with the domain setup, the next step is managing the mailbox. Here you could add, edit and delete the existing mailbox.

3.1. Adding the first mailbox

To add your first mailbox, please follow these instruction:

  1. Click your domain that has been verified.
  2. Click the “Mailbox users” menu in Manage Data page.
  3. Click “Create Mail User” button.
  4. Fill in the provided fields such as: Name, Username, Password, Confirm Password, Quota in Mega Byte (MB) and Recovery Email. Click “Save” button when you are done.
  5. Click “OK” button on the Mailbox Added notification.
  6. Your first Mailbox added successfully.

3.2. Editing the mailbox

To edit the mailbox, please follow the instruction below:

  1. Click “Edit” button on the desire username.
  2. Edit the provided field then click “Save” button
  3. Click “OK” button on the “Are You Sure?” notification.
  4. Click “OK” button on the “mailbox_modified” notification.
  5. Done.

3.3. Adding the second mailbox and so forth

To add the second mailbox and so forth, please follow these instruction:

  1. Click “Create Mail User” button.
  2. Fill in the provided fields then click “Save” button.
  3. Click “OK” button on the “mailbox_added” notification.
  4. The second Maibox and so forth added successfully.

3.4. Deleting the mailbox

To delete the mailbox, please choose the username and click “REMOVE” button on the Action column.


#4. Email Aliases

4.1 Creating Email Alias

To add your email alias, please follow these instruction:

  1. Click your domain that has been verified.
  2. Click the “Aliases” menu in Manage Data page.
  3. Click “Create New Alias” button.
  4. Fill your username on the email address field.
  5. Fill your email address destination on Go To Address field.
  6. Click Save button.
  7. Click OK button on the “alias added” notification.
  8. Done.

4.2 Editing email alias

To edit the alias, please follow the instruction below:

  1. Click “Edit” button on the desire address.
  2. Edit the New Go To field then click “Save” button
  3. Click “OK” button on the “Are You Sure?” notification.
  4. Click “OK” button on the “mailbox_modified” notification.
  5. Done.

4.3 Deleting email alias

To delete the alias, please choose the address and click “REMOVE” button on the Action column.


#5. Sub Account

5.1. Adding Member

To add your member on sub account feature, please follow these instruction: :

1. Log in to the member.kirim.email
2. On the membership page, click an Active Domain. 
3. Click “Sub Account” menu.
4. Click Add Member button.
5. Fill in the provided field then click Add User button.
6. Click the “OK” on the notification success. 
7. Done 


#6. Internal Broadcast Email

1. Choose an Active Domain.
2. Go to the “Broadcast” menu.
3. Select the “Reply to, Subject, and Message”. 
4. Click the “Send Broadcast” and then click the “OK” button in the notification.
5. If you receive the “X” notification, go back to the “Manage Data” section.
6. Go to the “Mailbox User”. 
7. Select the “Use Name”, and then click the “Edit” button on the Action column. 
8. Edit the “Password”. 
9. Click the “Save” and then click the “OK” buttons. 
Steps 5 to 8 are only done once for the mailbox that sends the broadcast for the first time. After changing the password change process, you can immediately broadcast without changing the password again.
10. Go back to the “Broadcast” section. 
11. Repeat the step 3 and 4. 
12. Go to the “Messages” page to see the history of your broadcast. 
13. Done.

To view the email broadcast in recipients, go to the Kerjamail Inbox. Fill in the username and password. You will see the email broadcast that you created has succeeded. 


#7. Adding the second domain and so forth

To add the second domain and so forth, please follow the instruction:

  1. Login to member.kirim.email and then click Add Domain button on your Kerjamail product.
  2. Insert your domain name and capacity in Mega Byte (MB) then click “Submit” button.
  3. Click “OK” button on the “Are You Sure?” notification.
  4. Click “OK” button on the “success!” notification.
  5. Verify your second domain.
  6. Setup your second domain as shown above.
  7. Manage your mailbox.
  8. Done.

#8. How To Remove Domain

To remove domain, please follow these steps below:

  1. Login to member.kirim.email and click an Active Domain.
  2. Click Manage Data menu then delete Your all email alias.
  3. Delete Your all mailbox.
  4. Click Main Dashboard menu.
  5. Click Add Domain button.
  6. In Add domain KERJAMAIL page, click Manage all domain button.
  7. Click X sign to delete the domain.
  8. Done.

#9. Information about POP, IMAP and SMTP

To get information about POP, IMAP and SMTP please follow the steps below :

  • Login to member.kirim.email.
  • Select one of the domains that you have.
  • Click Mailbox Cofiguration menu.
  • Login with your email address and password.
  • Click Show configuration guides for email clients and smartphones link.
  • Click Manual Configuration link.
  • Done.

#10. How to access Kerjamail

10.1 Through Desktop

10.1.1. Use Browser (Webmail)

To access Kerjamail through your browser, please follow these steps below:

  1. Enter the member.kirim.email page and click your domain on your Kerjamail product.
  2. Click “Webmail” menu.
  3. Login with your email and password.
  4. Done.

10.1.2. Email Client Application : Thunderbird

  1. Make sure your Thunderbird email client application is installed on your desktop
  2. Open the application
  3. Select Email in the Choose What to Set Up section
  4. Enter your name in the Your Name field
  5. Enter your email address in the Email Address field
  6. Enter a password in the Password field
  7. Click the Continue button
  8. In the protocol section, please select IMAP or POP3 according to your needs. In this tutorial we chose IMAP.
  9. Click the Done button to end the process.
  10. Done.

10.1.4 Microsoft Outlook Web Version

To access Kerjamail using Microsoft Outlook web version, please follow this instruction :

1. open https://outlook.live.com and login using your Microsoft account.
2. click settings menu (gear icon) then click View all Outlook settings link.
3. in Settings page, click Email menu > Sync Email. Then click Other email accounts option.
4. in Connect your account popup, fill the form (display name, email address and password).
5. in Advance settings option, check manually configure account settings (POP, IMAP or send-only account).
6. Choose IMAP /SMTP option as Your connection type.
7. Fill Incoming server, Outgping server, port, authentication and encryption.
8. Click OK Button.
9. Done.

10.1.5 Microsoft Outlook 365 Desktop Version

10.2 Through Mobile Device

10.2.1. Use Gmail Mobile Application

  1. Open the Gmail application on your Android smartphone
  2. Tap your email icon / avatar in the top right corner
  3. Then tap the Add another account option
  4. Select the Other option in the Set up email section
  5. Enter your email address (example: [email protected]) and click the NEXT button
  6. Please select POP3 or IMAP according to your needs. In this tutorial we chose IMAP
  7. Enter your email password then click the NEXT button
  8. In the Server field in Incoming server settings, change the value to your server (example : bandung01.emailkerja.id) then click the NEXT button
  9. In the SMTP Server field in Outgoing server settings, change the value to your server (example : bandung01.emailkerja.id) then click the NEXT button
  10. Wait for the validation process for the SMTP settings to complete
  11. In the account options section, please specify the sync frequency and other options according to your needs. If you have tap the NEXT button
  12. Enter your name in the Your Name field then tap the NEXT button
  13. You are logged in and the email is ready to use.

10.2.2. Use Microsoft Outlook Mobile

  1. Install the Microsoft Outlook Mobile application.
  2. Open the application.
  3. Click the Get Started button Enter your email address (Example: [email protected]) then click the Continue button.
  4. In the Connect Excange section, just enter your Password. Email Address and Server fields leave as is. While the Domain \ Username and Description fields are optional, they may or may not be filled. If you have tap the check mark in the upper right corner and wait for the Attempting to login process.
  5. Done. You are logged in and can send / receive email using Microsoft Outlook Mobile.

#11. Others

11.1. Forward Email to Other Email Addresses

To forward email to other email address please follow this instruction.

  1. Login to member.kirim.email
  2. Click your active domain
  3. Click Webmail menu
  4. Login to your webmail
  5. Click Settings menu
  6. . Click Filters
  7. Click Create button
  8. Fill name in filter name field
  9. Choose all message option in Scope field
  10. Choose send message copy to option in Action section and fill your other email address
  11. Click + sign to add other email address
  12. Click Save button to save your settings
  13. To delete you can click Delete button.

11.2 How To Create App Password

To add app password please follow step below :

  1. Login to member.kirim.email page.
  2. Click your active domain.
  3. Click Mailbox Configuration Menu.
  4. Login using your email account.
  5. Click App Password tab.
  6. Click Create App Password button.
  7. Fill App Name field and Click generate link.
  8. Click Add button to Save your app password.
  9. Then you can use this password to login in other platform, for example : Thunderbird.
