How To Create a Custom Domain For Your KerjaMail Inbox

You can now change KerjaMail’s default email inbox URL with your own domain. To do so, please follow the steps below:

  1. Go to https://app.appmasker.com/.
  2. Enter your email and password, then click the Sign Up button.



  3. After that, you’ll enter the Domains page. On this page, click on the Create A Domain button.



  4. Enter your sub domain in the Custom Domain Name field. Suppose your main domain is kirinews.com, you can fill the field with webmail.kirinews.com, email.kirinews.com, or mail.kirinews.com.
  5. In the Your Service Addresses field, enter the domain of the KerjaMail server you’re using, followed by :443. Your server, for example, is jakarta01.kerjamail.co. As a result, jakarta01.kerjamail.co:443 will be the final result.



  6. Scroll down to the Redirect section, then click on the Add A Redirect button.



  7. Enter a slash (/) in the “from” field and /inbox in the “to” field.
  8. Click on the Create Domain button.



  9. Open your DNS Manager. In this tutorial, we are using Cloudflare.
  10. Create a new record with the following criteria :
    • Type : A
    • Name : The Sub Domain you entered in appmasker.com.
    • IPv4 Address : Copy of the information appmasker.com provided in the DNS Records section.
    • Change the Proxied to DNS Only.
    • TTL : Auto.
    • After that, click Save.
  11. Create a new record with the following criteria :
    • Type : AAAA
    • Name : The Sub Domain you entered in appmasker.com.
    • IPv6 Address : : Copy of the information appmasker.com provided in the DNS Records section.
    • Change the Proxied to DNS Only.
    • TTL : Auto.
    • After that, click Save.



  12. Then go to the inbox page using the domain you just added, for example, https://webmail.kirinews.com. If it’s still not accessible, wait at least a day for the propagation time to finish.
  13. Finished.
